Apprentices of Boilermakers Local 85 can receive course credit towards an associate degree in a program offered by Owens Community College (Findlay, OH) or Penta Career Center (Perrysburg, OH).


Facility & Certifications:
The Toledo Boilermakers JATC is a registered apprenticeship training program with the Federal Department of Labor. Dedicated on May 20, 1978.

Training Program Info:
Apprenticeship school is a four year training program. Training classes meet once a week for 4 hours, approximately 10 months out of the year. Every six months apprentices take and must pass a written performance based test. Additionally, apprentices will complete and satisfactorily pass online computer based boilermaker related self study lessons every six months.
